What is Hypnosis?

Hypnotherapy offers clients a powerful tool for accessing their subconscious mind, promoting deep healing and transformation. It empowers individuals to tap into their inner resources and overcome obstacles with confidence and resilience.

Hypnosis is defined as a “trance-like state” in which you have heightened focus and concentration. While in hypnotic rest you usually feel calm and relaxed, and are more open to suggestions.

Most people enter a hypnotic state multiple times a day, without realizing it. When you are focused on a project or task, when you’re driving a familiar route and “zone out” (but can still react) or when you are engrossed in a movie or book, this is hypnosis!

Think about the thing in your life, you’d most like to change, what feelings do you have surrounding that?
Now, think about what your life will be like when you’re free of that issue. How does that feel?
With hypnosis I can help you get from where you are, to where you want to be.

In Hypnosis, the brain is often compared to an iceberg. With the conscious mind, the aspects you’re aware of being above the surface. While the subconscious mind, the largest and most powerful part that holds memories, thoughts and feelings you’re not consciously aware of, makes up the greater bulk of the iceberg, remaining unseen below the surface of the water.

By helping you achieve a deep state of relaxation, we can by-pass the conscious mind, access and communicate directly with the subconscious mind, to help bring about the changes you desire.

Many of our undesirable habits that we engage in throughout the day (smoking, overeating, negative thinking etc.), despite wanting to change are the result of “negative hypnosis”. Hypnosis can help re-program your subconscious mind so you can finally break free of the constraints that have been holding you back!
